BIOGRAFIJA
Rođen je u Bijelom Polju 12. aprila 1966.godine. Nekoliko meseci nakon rođenja sa roditeljima odlazi u Nemačku.. Sa pet godina je kao rođendanski poklon dobio harmoniku i tu se stvorila ljubav prema muzici! Uskoro ga roditelji upisuju na folklor gde je aktivno i pevao!
Prve svoje nastupe je imao sa dvanaest godina i to sa svojim ocem Osmanom koji se tada aktivno bavio muzikom i nastupao u Nemačkoj! Najviše je voleo da peva sevdah, posebno Safeta Isovića zbog koga je i svom sinu dao ime, Safet!
Iako je bio veoma mlad, za Safeta se vrlo brzo čulo i njegov otac Osman je odlučio da snimi ploču sa Safetom, iako je tada Safet imao svega četrnaest godina. Ploču je izdao čuveni “Jugoton” pod nazivom Otac i sin ( “Život u tuđini” i “Ljubi i voli“).
Zbog odsluženja vojnog roka vraća se u Jugoslaviju gde ga je sreća poslužila i u vojsci upoznaje ljude sa estrade gde je snimio ploču i nastavio svoju karijeru! U svojim intervjuima često je isticao da je svoj maternji jezik naučio tokom služenja vojnog roka za koga se sam prijavio. Vojni rok je služio u Leskovcu i možemo reći da je to bila prekretnica u Safetovoj karijeri!
Nakon nastupa u Domu JNA u Beogradu dolazi do upoznavanja sa velikim hitmejkerom, Stevicom Spasićem! Vrlo brzo je došlo do saradnje i tada je dobio svoju prvu pesmu!
Prvu svoju ploču izdaje za RTV Skoplje još dok je bio vojnik i ta ploča je prodata u preko 130 000 primeraka.
Nakon svoje prve ploče koja je prošla fantastično, Safet prelazi u Beograd gde započinje saradnju sa Mišom Mijatovićem i Vesnom Petković sa kojima je uradio tri albuma, tri dijamantske ploče! Do saradnje je došlo posle jednog nastupa na takmičenju harmonikaša u Soko Banji gde je Safet nastupao kao gost ! Tu su ga Mišo i Vesna zapazili i od tada kreće saradnja! Ukupno rade tri albuma! Ređali su se albumi, “Hej ljubavi” sa preko 100 000 prodatih ploča, odmah nakon toga izlazi album “Zadnji groš” koji je prodat u preko 140 000 primeraka i treći album “Majko zemljo” !
Možemo nazvati trio Mišo-Safet-Vesna “dijamantom” jer svi albumi su nosili titulu “dijamantska ploča” !
Polovinom devedesetih godina Safet ide za Nemačku u kojoj ostaje narednih godina!
Tokom boravka u Nemačkoj snima još jedan album za InTakt record pod nazivom “Poljubi me” ! Na ovom albumu se posebno istakla pesma “Sretan rođendan“, za koju je tekst radio Esso Beštija, muziku Suad Jukić i moj prijatelj harmonikaš i klavijaturista Ante Filipović. Posebno bi istakli saradnju sa R.Čamparom na pesmi “Majko zemljo” !
Nakon više od dve decenije, Safet odlučuje da snimi dve nove pesme! Uz podršku svoje porodice Safet snima dve nove pesme, “Vjerovah” i “Dva za dva“. Saradnici na tim pesmama su bili Dražen Damjanovic i Marko Gluhakovic!
Kraj 2022.godine Safet je svoju publiku obradovao svojom novom pesmom pod nazivom “Pokvarena” koju je napisala Vesna Petković a muziku i aranžman potpisuje Aleksandar Kobac

Biography
Safet ALija( recording artist / performer ) was born in Bijelo Polje on April 12th, 1966. Just a few months later, him and his family moved to Germany. For his 5th birthday, he was gifted an accordion which has turned out to be his first love and the first step towards his music path that nobody has ever planned. His parents have also enrolled him in folklore ( a popular collective folk dance performed by dancers interlinked in chain, usually moving in circle holding hands to the accompaniment of music) where Safet as a young child was performing.
At the age of 12 Safet’s very first performance was in Germany with his father who was also a musician/performer that loved to sing popular songs by a legendary Safet Isovic who was known for his hits within the sevdah music genre ( traditional Bosnian songs) which has inspired him to name his son that name, Safet.
Ever since an age of 14, Safet was already well known locally. Him and his father together recorded an Album titled ” Life in a foreign country” and ” Ljubi i Voli” under the name ” Father and Son, that was released by ” Jugoton”, one of the most popular record labels at the time.
During his self initiated military service in former Yugoslavia ( city of Leskovac) he was lucky to meet people in the music industry where he continued recording songs and working on his music career at the same time while he was a solder. He often emphasized in his interview how he learned his native language thanks to the military he signed up himself for which became a turning point in his music career.
After his successful public performance at the House of JNA in Belgrade ( capital of Serbia), he caught attention of one of the most popular music makers at the time, Stevica Spasic, who immediately took Safet under his wig and that’s how the collaboration on his debut song was made.
Safet’s debut record has premiered on RTV television network in Skopje and sold over 130K copies. Let’s not forget, even during that time, he was still serving the military.
Right after this fantastic success of his debut album, Safet moves to Belgrade (capital of Srbia) and starts the collaboration with Misa Mijatovic ( composer) and Vesna Petkovic ( author) who noticed Safet’s brilliant talent during his successful public performance at the accordion competition in Soko Banja city where he was announced as a special guest of the competition.
The three of them collaborated on the 3 albums: ” Hej Ljubavi” which sold over 100K records followed by the ” Zadnji Gros” released right after and sold over 140K copies, and finally the third album titled ” Majko Zemljo”.
All the three albums were known under the title ” Diamond Records” which is why we call this fantastic trio collaboration ” Diamond” ( Miso – Safet – Vesna).
In the mid 1990’s, Safet moved back to Germany for a period of **XYZ ( napisi broj godina u zagradi) years where he recorded a number of albums such as: “Poljubi me ” ( InTakt Records) with a hit song ” Srecan Rodjendan” whose author is Esso Besti, composed by Suad Jaki, and a dear friend of mine and well established accordionist and keyboard player, Ante Filipovic.
Another hit song of Safet ( napisi i prezime) that we’d like to highlight is ” Majko Zemljo” in a collaboration with R.Campara. ( composer).
About 2 decades later, with the support of his family, Safet Alija releases another two successful records titled ” Vjerovah ” and ” Dva za Dva” in a collaboration with Drazen Damjanovic ( author) and Marko Gluhakovic ( composer).
By the end of 2022, his audience was delighted by the release of his new hit record ” Pokvarena” whose author is Vesna Petkovic, composed and produced by Aleksandar Kobac.
